School Grant

The School Grant is intended to assist schools in their fundraising efforts. The School Grant will fund a maximum of:

  • $5,000 per school
  • requires a school match of 50 percent. 
  • Special consideration will be given for projects with additional matching funds. Eligible matching funds include local businesses, personal donations, Trustland Funds and 100% for Kids.
  • Each school within the Weber School District is eligible every three years for this grant.
  • Grant applications will be accepted beginning in August.

Examples of previously awarded projects include document cameras, SmartBoards, interactive testing devices as well as Level Reading Libraries for elementary schools. Additionally, funds have been awarded for band uniforms, pianos, sound systems and theatre lighting equipment. Property purchased with grant money will remain the property of the school that the money was awarded to.

The grant process is as follows; After you submit an application, the application is recieved and reviewed by our staff and board of trustees on the third Thursday of every month. 

Upon approval, the principal and secretary/bookkeeper will be notified by email that the grant has been approved. A check will be sent to your school bookkeeper/secretary for the amount allocated and approved.  The funding must be spent specifically on items requested in the grant application. 

School Grant Applications can be submitted:

  • August 1st to September 30th
  • January 4th to April 30th

If the grant does not fall within the guidelines, it will be sent back to the applicant without review.
